MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Florida Fish and Wildlife officials said they have found the remains of a 6-month-old uncollared male Florida panther.
The panther was found on Golden Gate Blvd. near the intersection of 6th St. NE in Golden Gate Estates in Collier County.
The carcass is at the FWC Naples Field Office and will be sent to the FWC Gainesville lab for necropsy.
This is the 26th Florida panther death in 2014, and the 20th killed by a vehicle.
